Facilities at Sympohny House

Superbly organised and equipped

Symphony Care provides accommodation for 25 residents in single rooms. The home comprises two buildings joined by a hallway. Accommodation in the main house is provided on the ground and first floors.

The first floor bedrooms and facilities can be accessed by either staircases or a platform lift (accessible for wheelchair users). The nursing wing has accommodation on the ground floor only. A small platform lift is also available in the main house to enable users of wheelchairs to reach four bedrooms on a lower level.

The home has two lounges which also provide separate areas for dining. Facilities are also made available to residents who wish to dine in their own rooms. The home has a large entrance hall in the main house leading off to all areas within the home. This entrance and hall has been sensitively refurbished to maintain the original character and warmth of the house.

A whole range of different rooms

Within Symphony Care there is a whole range of different rooms. The majority of bedrooms and lounges have pleasant outlooks. The rooms are very light due to the high ceilings and large windows.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities and additional toilets and bathrooms are provided close to resident rooms.

Symphony Care is equipped with a range of bathing facilities in order to meet the preferences and needs of our residents. Grab rails and adaptations are available in all our communal toilets and bathrooms.

The home provides 25 single bedrooms with en suites. 5 rooms also have their own private bathrooms. There are also 2 communal bathrooms and one level access shower room complete with a mobile shower chair. There are 6 toilets which can all be accessed by residents and visitors in wheelchairs.
The home also has a fully fitted stainless steel kitchen and on site laundry in the cellar which meets all the latest requirements.

All areas of the home are serviced by a nurse call system and these can be placed with residents wherever they may be. The system is also linked to the telephone system so that the Nurse in Charge is always aware of needs within the home.

The home also has a central courtyard which may be accessed by residents and visitors. This area is planted with a variety of hanging baskets and tubs to provide an attractive floral display and outlook for our residents.
